Introduction of Indonesian Curriculum The education system in Indonesia is run by two different ministries: the Ministry of Education, which deals with public education, and the Ministry of Religious Affairs, which deals with Islamic schools. Both curriculums are similar, following the national curriculum, with the exception that Islamic schools incorporate religion into their coursework. There are also schools called national plus schools that use an international curriculum and also teach English. Nine years of school is mandatory, six years of elementary school and three years of lower secondary. The Hot Potatoes software suite includes five applications that can create variations exercises that you as a teacher can make for your students. The applications are JCloze (Missing words), JCross (Crossword), JMatch (Matching), JMix (Arrange sentence), and JQuiz (Multiple choice). There is also, a sixth application called The Masher, that will compile all the Hot Potatoes exercises into one unit. Hot Potatoes was created by the Research and Development team at the University of Victoria Humanities Computing and Media Centre. Commercial aspects of the software are handled by Half-Baked Software Inc. Hot Potatoes has been freeware since October 2009. Google Docs is a free online software to write a document. What differentiates Docs with other writing software such as MSWord, WPS, WordPad, and others is that your document is saved on the cloud. It means that you can write on any device that can access google and you can add your friend/colleague to do collaborative writing.
